ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

San Isidro College is a Catholic institution of higher learning that offers degree programs recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Basic Education Programs: Kindergarten, Elementary and High School recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd). To keep up with the need of the time in developing skilled manpower, SIC also offers short-courses recognized by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

COLLEGE DEPARTMENT

Goals and Objectives

The College upholds the Vision-Mission of the school. It envisions to develop and to promote the learners’ physical, psychological, emotional, social, spiritual and intellectual growth. It aims at providing the learning community an atmosphere conducive to study characterized by academic freedom, respect, dialogue, interaction, intellectual and artistic stimulations, reflection and metacognition for the integral development of the learners.

It aims at making learners:

  1. Develop their thinking skills and multiple intelligences for holistic competencies;
  2. Develop needed skills for professional competence in their field of study;
  3. Live out their Christian faith and become witnesses to gospel values;
  4. Acquire values and attitudes needed to become emotionally mature and responsible individuals and citizens of the country;
  5. Respect their cultural heritage and conserve their natural resources and become advocate of peace and social justice;
  6. Become responsive to the needs of the society especially to where they belong;
  7. Demonstrate preferential option for the poor or the “least of our brothers.”

HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT

Goals and Objectives

  1. To provide holistic, Christian and relevant education among students so they can develop competence for higher educational exposures and live their life in the spirit of the gospel values;
  2. To develop students’ knowledge, attitude and skills in problem-solving, intellectual inquiry, creative thinking, independent learning, relating with others as brothers and sisters in Christ and building positive affective behavior;
  3. To develop the creativity and competence of students in communication skills in the context of openness and interaction for building peace, progress and prosperity in the society.
  4. To develop students’ appreciation of their Filipino cultural heritage and respect of other cultures in the world, involvement in community outreach activities and exercise of leadership skills for active citizenship.

GRADE SCHOOL DEPARTMENT

Goals and Objectives

  1. To build the foundation of basic knowledge, skills and attitudes, with emphasis on moral and spiritual values, which are essential to the holistic growth and development of children;
  2. To provide learning experiences which enhance the children’s awareness of and responsiveness to community development, nation-building and peace initiatives;
  3. To promote among the children love of country, preservation of family ideals and respect on the diversity of Filipino cultural heritage, as well as the cultures of other peoples in the world;
  4. To promote experiences that orient children to the world of work in order to develop their creativity in engaging in honest and productive activities.
