School of Nursing Holds its First Capping, Badge Investiture, Pinning and Candle-Lighting Ceremonies

The SIC’s School of Nursing, which opened in AY: 2007-2008, had its first    capping, pinning, badge investiture and candle lighting ceremonies last May 27, 2009 of the  Nursing students who qualified to proceed to the second level .  The Ceremonies were held at D’ Garden Party Venue with the presence of the administrators, faculty, parents and Guest of Honor from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region 10, Dr. Bernarda C. Lleno, Supervisor III Health Programs.

 

 

In her speech, Dr. Lleno challenged the Nursing students to develop not only academic competence but also commitment to the ideals of the Nursing profession.  Emphasizing hardwork, dedication and study, Dr. Lleno made reference to Florence of Nightingale to inspire each young Nursing student who still have a long way to go to achieve his/her dream to become a nurse.
