The School of Midwifery envisions the formation of enlightened, Christ-centered and professional midwives with competence and dedication to serve with love, care and compassion towards quality, competitive and excellent services.

MISSION

To teach, train and guide students on the standards of Midwifery practices to uphold professionalism and enlightened services for the people and the community.

GOALS

Development of:

• -Learners’ physical, psychological, social, spiritual and intellectual growth
• -Christ-centered Midwifery services
• -Knowledge, skills and attitude for learners’ self-improvement and independent learning
• -Competence and commitment as professional midwife

OBJECTIVES

The School of Midwifery aims at preparing each student become a professional and registered midwife through the following objectives:

• To develop students’ knowledge, attitude and skills on supervision, care and counseling necessary in managing pregnancies, normal deliveries and post-partum period
• To provide students with training on primary health care services in the community (promotive and preventive care)
• To develop higher level competencies of a midwife as a health care provider: educator, researcher, supervisor and health care facility manager/entrepreneur
• To promote competent, committed and Christ-centered midwifery practices
