San Isidro College community is guided by the following principles as represented by the school logo:

The BIBLE: (The Word of God)

Education is at the service of man / woman who is created in the image of God out of Love, invited to the fullness of Mankind and Sonship, in the Redeeming Christ, and as such has the right to be introduced, to be freed for growth and helped toward the realization of his/her human Christian vocation and his/her fundamental need of God. All of these are aimed at helping him/her to respond to the inspiration of a lively personal faith nurtured by the Scripture and sacraments and deepened by personal reflection and prayer.

HOE and SHOVEL

Man/woman, the human person is called to be a worker who will help transform the world from within, “elevating unceasingly the culture and moral level of society” (LE, 198) and must, therefore, be equipped with knowledge, attitudes and skills adapted to his/her natural abilities in life situations. Thus, the SCHOOL MOTTO: ORA ET LABORA (Prayer and Work) which means that all the members of the school are led to a synthesis of faith and culture.

MOUNTAINS and TREES

Symbolize the province of Bukidnon and the City of Malaybalay. It also means:

  • a)The social dimension of the human person, called to cultivate a sense of social responsibility, aware of his/her unique participations in the pursuit of the welfare of the family and of the common good of the larger society particularly the conservation of natural resources and the respect for the environment’s ecological balance; so that, the society can in turn, look after the common good and well-being of its people.
  • b)As political (member of the nation), he/she must foster the sense of nationalism and patriotism, by which he/she identifies with the people and joins hands with them in the pursuit of common goals.

THE INSIGNIA of the BISHOP of the DIOCESE of MALAYBALAY

The Office of education belongs to the Church because she has the responsibility of announcing the way to all men/women, announcing the life of Christ and never gets tired of assisting them to grow in their totality (GE, 1965) Thus, the Diocese of Malaybalay’s mission – total human and Christian development is geared towards making human beings more human, aware of their relationship of solidarity with all persons through justice and natural love within the context of the ecclesial community.

    The CROSS at the center of the LOGO signifies JESUS Christ as the Center of the life and curriculum of San Isidro College which
  • pursues “that Jesus may be known and loved”;
  • upholds that Jesus is “the Way, the Truth and the Life”;
  • proposes Christ, Incarnate Son of God and Perfect Man, as both Model and Means to reach personhood and communal integration;
  • proclaims Christ and make Him known, inviting all to encounter Him, so that they may have “Life”.
